And we're live at the O/R and in the top of what's become a very exciting open repair. The surgical team up until this point has managed to stay ahead but has recently suffered some trying setbacks. The smaller Richardsons have just struck out being no match for the size and heft of this particular patient, and it looks like ol' Doc might need a little magic. The only thing that could possibly help him now is a 20 mm wide retractor able to reach deeper than anything else seen today.

What's this? In an unprecedented move, the surgeon has just grabbed the new retractor with the "slugger" handle and the extra deep, 85 mm blade. It sure looks promising, but can it do the job? He looks towards his teammates. They give him the go-ahead. He chokes up on that thick, linen-phenolic handle, licks the inner sides of his lips, and stares down the surgical site.
    He winds up,
    he reaches in and
    —look at that!—
it's going, going and it's gone—
deep into the interior and holds. Wow, what a play, what a day!

Some would say that's incredible; we simply call it, "Amazin".
