It only takes a Minute…to Make a Mini-Open truly “Mini”
“Even smaller!” comes the cry from the O/R
Multiple lengths in the narrow 20 mm widths introduced more than a decade ago remain very popular blades. However, the continuing buzz of activity in Mini-Open repairs prompts the introduction of the minute, ten-millimeter wide Minute blades. Their slim lithesome form and a subtle inward curve of their comely lip make these latest evolutionary additions to Buxton's blade lineup a natural favorite.

Originally Kölbel blades were only available in 36 mm widths. As the new split-deltoid rotator cuff repair came into favor, thinner 20 mm blades opened the long narrow way to successful Mini-Open repairs. Predictably, in an age of slicker, minimally invasive suture anchors it was only a matter of time before the even narrower 10 mm wide Minute blades arrived.

Today, shoulder surgeons enjoy the choice of four basic frame patterns with an option for the third arm attachment. Five different blade styles are offered to accommodate anatomies ranging from the common to the confounding. Ask for Mi-nute' or call for Min’-ute. It matters not; Buxton will know what you want.
