These are not your ordinary Weitlainer wound spreaders. Buxton's Weitlainers feature finely tapered arms. Retraction is just as deep as standard models, but because the arms are responsive to counter pressure of the soft tissue, the jaws can adjust within the wound site to retract more evenly with a given amount of pressure.

The 110 mm frame features 2x3 teeth with a 12 mm reach and 45 mm spread. The 130 mm frame has 3x4 teeth, a 13 mm reach and 60 mm spread. Both sizes are available with either sharp or blunt teeth.
