Access to the glenoid Bankart repairs is aided by the use of a humeral head lever. The 255 mm long Bhattman Retractor can be inserted between the glenoid and the humeral head, seating itself on the posterior neck of the glenoid with its two widely spaced, semi-sharp prongs. The humeral head is cupped within a relief in the blade, and forces of retraction are exerted laterally, exposing the glenoid rim.
